The Keep Well Campaign has continued to drive forward in Louth with last week’s launch of the Libraries Grow it Forward 2021 campaign where the public were asked to register online for seeds. Louth Library received massive interest from this initiative and distribution is being organized to get all the seeds delivered around the county.

The Genesis Programmes ‘Get in the Picture’ campaign went from strength to strength over the last few weeks generating massive media interest in local papers and massive social media interest on their Facebook platform. They have handed out 100 care packs to new mums over the last three weeks in what has been a brilliantly successful project. Well done to all involved in leading and coordinating. Check out The Genesis Programmes Facebook page to see all of the Mums receive their care packs.

Great news from the Louth Local Sports Partnership today where there has been a six-week extension to their virtual online programmes. So still lots of time to sign up!! Don’t forget to try the Park training programme devised and put up in parks across the county by Louth Sports Partnership. Just visit the Local Sports Partnership facebook page for more information

The next part of the Youth Linkage Groups project will take place this Friday be sure to keep an eye out in the local papers over the next few weeks to see the amazing work the group have been working on!!

Louth Age Friendly, Louth PPN and Healthy Louth have made great inroads into reducing the digital divide. The three groups have been collaborating on the Super Connectors project by connecting with local partnerships to trial the use of tablets amongst older adults. The older adults have been supported by members in their support bubbles, manuals and also an external support network. The project has seen great success where the members can now access weekly and monthly meetings where they had previously been missing out on over the Covid period.

Watch this space lots more to come from the Super Connectors project as it grows from strength to strength across the county!!

Quick reminder that all of the LMFM interviews from our Keep Well Campaign have been uploaded to the Louth County Council Website page under the Communities and Healthy Louth Section so if you haven’t listened to them yet be sure to visit the page, they might offer some valuable advice for you or someone you know.
